The whole night went by like a breeze, apek settling the admin stuffs, maid watching videos and me stoning and playing RS. Then 3 of us in between chit chat abit of ahma, then abt suthi de future work and also which agent to use. Then also mentioned bits of her family things.
Ard 5am or more, ah hmm came down after unable to sleep. Then make coffee and drink, read newspaper. Then some time later, the couple went to buy vegetarian food. But cant find so bought normal beehoon n veggie. Then make hot milo. Put on table as offerings.

In between like 1pm or so went sheng siong to buy beer and instant noodle but got false alarm about 8pm de announcement which end up to be a 4pm. But people just keep panic buy. Queued and waste time there for nothing. So angry!!!
Our family is nice. Ah na and her jie bought everyone Macdonalds. Supper is tay brothers dabao.
Ah wen buy bread.
Went back to the mph, we ate and chit chat a bit, and friends start to come in. Hanis was the first to reach. So we chit chat and i thank him for coming. He was my only Malay friend i invited but he came to attend on and on behalf of the clique. En and Mehh came shortly to pay a visit, while En paid his respect. And intro hanis to them. So we chat a lil and Mehh got to rush home to WFH.
After some time Hanis gtg and En stayed a while more, then Morris came to join over the chat. Then went to have dinner. Around 730pm, the prayer/ritual started. Since my friends arrived, more and more people came that i lost count. Later on my brothers also came, the temple committee also came. Uncle's friend. Some of Dad's friend and etc.
The purpose of inviting them was because they knew grandma, they were friends of our family, to celebrate her life, our cherished grandma, who lived a blissful over 90+ y.o.
If not for the stroke, she would probably be able to even reach 100 y.o. because of her good health and healthy eating habit. Life is so uncertain.
The ritual ended like 10pm or so, in three parts.
Cousin in law asked about the ritual and the whole setup, as it was very different from the Buddhist context in her country. And she mentioned it seems so solemn and peaceful too, and for theirs it was full of crying and sadness every of the day for the wake. And theirs was held for more days and longer.
As i am unfamiliar with the funeral stuffs, i told her i only know a little haha. As grandma lived a ripe age and a wholesome life, we felt relieved she was such a strong fighter and had her family by her side. For leaving with grace and peace, we should let her be at rest and also celebrate her life. Thus, although we were sad, it wasn't a regretful one. As for holding the wake longer, we didnt manage to hold partially due to the limited slots as this is covid19 period :( And probably it was for the best for us, so we wont be too upset(?) Sometimes, it is as if like Granny had laid out everything smoothly for the plan to run and for us. :')
More people came at the night, and all gradually left before 11.
And finally the hardest part to come the next day.
And Dad and I stayed for the night. Will continue in another post.
